TL;DR

An uninhabited village where the Mavromichalis family was self-exiled, used by villagers of a nearby village during the olive harvest.

Kapsala village today is uninhabited; however, it does have a lovely and quiet beach. It is a small village, hidden from the visitor’s eyes, with old stone-built houses and ovens. The Mavromichalis family full of shame after the murder of Kapodistrias, took refuge in this deserted village, as a form of self-exile. Today, the farmers from Kyparissi, which is close to Kapsala, reside in the village during the olive harvest.
