Psari Iraias in Arcadia is built at an altitude of 900m in Mount Mainalo, on the foothills of Agios Ilias (St. Ilias). It is a green village in a forest full of kermes oaks, only 15km from Megalopoli. The few residents engage in agriculture and animal husbandry. Recently, the women of the village have begun producing and trading traditional dishes based on their grandmothers’ recipes passed from mother to daughter for generations.
